For another work by the artist of similar style see Tim Acker and John Carty (eds.), Ngaanyatjarra: Art of the Lands, Crawley: UWA Publishing, 2012, p.121.~~This painting is sold with accompanying Kayili Artists documentation that reads in part: 'At Tjinytjira, West of Patjarr, there was a very large gathering of Karlaya (emu) ancestors. They came from all directions to conduct ceremonies. Tjinytjira is a big, big swamp and its edge is shown by a wide red line. The green line inside this shows the edge of the many, deep cracks that run through the area, creeks that run through the area, creeks that were created by karlaya running in all directions. Between these two lines are the camps of the visiting emus who had come from all over...All the Karlaya who were local to Tjinytjira are shown in the middle of the painting. These were the custodians of the area and they had lots of babies and spread out. As they spread out, they made the swamp bigger and bigger.'
